I was born in West London.  Moved to Surrey when I got married.  We have two daughters and three grandchildren.  I’ve always enjoyed reading and when I found time dabbled in writing a few short stories and novels but it never went anywhere – UNTIL NOW!

I started my career working as a secretary.  After taking time off to have children and helping my husband as company secretary in his construction business I was looking for a change and applied for a part/time doctor’s receptionist.   It was, without doubt, different!  I began jotting down things that happened to look back on and reminisce, but before I knew it, I had a pad full of further ideas and thoughts. 

Approximately 10 years ago I was fortunate to spend 2 months in a warm climate as I wanted to pursue an idea loosely based on my receptionist experience This was wonderfully enlightening and very enjoyable.  On return from this vacation I posted a few chapters of “my book” off to publishers and agents.  I was given good encouragement but never pursued it with much dedication as normal life took over again!   

In 2022 my husband and I discussed moving to Turkey for a year or more for the experience and exploration.   Whilst putting this plan together it occurred to me, I would be able to focus attention on “my book.”  With encouragement from my husband in 2023 we went ahead and made plans for another great adventure.  During this time, I knuckled down and pursued it with sharp enthusiasm and endeavour.  My efforts have now come to fruition and I wish to share them with YOU.
